It has long been known that in a relatively closed community of animals, it is easy to identify characteristic phenotypes, that is, primitive primordial rocks are formed. It is easy to see on the example of stray dogs that live in a certain region.

History of the breed

The history of this breed originates in 1988. Zoo engineer by education and cynologist on the vocation of Zoya Kostyn on the street picked up a small homeless puppy. From an animal of brown color, a pretty Kari dog with an unusual type of woolen coat grew up. The coat was stiff and sparse, a crest on the head, and the mustache and beard made it unlike other dogs of known breeds. When Kari grew up, she was crossed with a male Micron of sable color of a similar type. He was also picked up on the street. The result of the mating was four tiny puppies of different colors: black-tan, red, fawn and wolf. Kostyna was very interested in this, and she decided to fix the breed, crossing Mikron and Lika - a bitch of a similar type of fawn color. Born Krosh turned out to be a copy of Micron. However, further matings disappointed the dog handlers, because the phenotype was absent. Only in 1994 it was possible to consolidate the result, and in 1998 it was time to declare a new breed.

Based on the standard developed by Z. Kostyna, L. Ivanova and N. Karpysheva, the breed of the Moscow dragon was first brought into the IX group, and later transferred to V, where primitive rocks are represented. However, FCI has not recognized this breed so far.
